Egyptian pop-up book

It would appear that from the point of view of publishers, pop-up books are my forte, as I am commissioned to do pop-up books quite a lot! I don't mind, as they are great fun.


This is one I did quite some time ago now, which was quite complicated with pop-ups, lift the flaps and pull-tabs - a feat of paper engineering. It is quite cartoony in style, which is what they wanted. 


I do not work out the paper mechanisms on pop-up books, as that is always done by the paper engineer, but I do work with their mock-ups, which I will share with you in a future blog, as I tend to keep them in my plan chest at home.
